The Claude Arbogast Memorial Shoot (formerly the Charlie Shaefer Shoot) is hosted April through August at the Lyons Rod & Gun Club, with a final Class Championship and Club Championship in September. All Club shooters are eligible, as long as they post a minimum of 100 targets per month, and a minimum of 500 targets for the event. This year the shoot dedication was formally changed to Claude Arbogast, a recently deceased long time Life Member, all around great guy, fisherman (remember those walleye fillets for the game dinner?), trap shooter, hunter, archer and true supporter of the Club.

Below is a picture of Shirley Arbogast, Claude's wife, and our friend, with Steve Kornbau, winner of the inaugural Claude Arbogast Memorial Shoot, who posted a 98X100 in the Event, and won the overall Championship in a three way shootoff.
